Department of Botany organized sapling distribution drive on 26 April 2023 to celebrate Earth Day 2023. Saplings of Medicinally useful plant Aparajita were distributed in the college campus to sensitize the masses about significance of Aparajita. The drive was launched by Prof Rita Jain Principal who lauded the efforts of the department. She asserted that planting these saplings on Earth Day will encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and livable place. These saplings were prepared in the college Botanical Garden and were planted in reused plastic pots with an aim to beat plastic pollution. DAV
